We have been told today that the garden birds are dying out because of no green sites, houses and buildings being built everywhere. Does anyone feed the garden birds.  We can buy bird food for the winter months, but I tend to throw out  stale bread and crusts  for them.  Does anyone know if they eat slugs, which we have plenty in our garden.

I think birds are going to be around for a long while yet, whether or not humans feed them!
I'm sure some birds will eat slugs - crows and the larger ones are more likely too though, I suppose.
